Academy Award-winner Ben Kingsley stars as MOSES, one of the Bible's most beloved and inspiring heroes, in this TNT original four-hour mini-series.

MOSES is the story of a most ordinary man - shy, humble and crippled with doubt - who struggled to become one of the greatest leaders in history. As a baby, he is spared death when his mother releases him onto the Nile River in a papyrus basket. Found by the Pharaoh's daughter, he is raised by the Egyptian court along with the son of the Pharaoh, Merneftah. As a young man, he flees Egypt to avoid persecution, but returns to free the Israelite slaves after receiving a command from God. The new Pharaoh, his half-brother, Merneftah, does not release the Israelites, so God unleashes a series of terrible plagues on the Egyptians until the Pharaoh agrees. When the Pharaoh changes his mind, he chases Moses and the Israelites to the Red Sea, where God parts the sea for their escape.

Moses must then lead the Israelites into the desert where they wander for forty years in search of Canaan, the Promised Land. Many of them rebel until God delivers through Moses the divine law that is the cornerstone of Judeo-Christianity - the Ten Commandments.
